the importance of nuclear power security

According to Epistar`s Lee , the efficiency of LED lamps previously forecast to be achieved in 2015 will be reached in 2012, based on buyers from the world come to mostly purchase LED lamps at this show.Terry Guo, chairman of the Foxconn Technology Group, said during an economic forum held in Taipei, "We are going to fully expand our investment in Henan, using Zhengzhou (the provincial capital) as the base." However, Guo did not reveal the total amount of investments for these projects.Reportedly, Chinese Vice Minister of Industry and Information Technology Xi Guohua will sign industrial Standardization MOU with Chairman of the non-profit Sinocon Industrial Standards Foundation, R.L. Chen, a former economics minister, who represents Taiwan`s counterparts for three high technologies including LED, LCD panel and solar energy  in both sides of the Taiwan Straits.

For Everlight`s Yeh, he believes that the March 11 catastrophe reminds people of the importance of nuclear power security and energy saving, inspiring people to embrace LED lamps. He notes that LED lamps can save an average 80% of electricity relative to incandescent and can help save 1.5 nuclear power plants in Taiwan when all lamps are replaced by LEDs.  Yeh expects his company to land two to three folds more orders from Europe this year than last year.Taiwan –based Foxconn is reported to make a plan to invest in 19 new projects in Central China's Henan province, including factories that will produce camera lenses and LED lighting rigs, as well as more branches of Foxconn's retail chain Cybermart.

As LED plays a pivotal role in the mainland’s12th Five Year Development Plan, the two sides this time will sign agreements to set up common standards for LED indoor and outdoor lighting, LED lighting for mass-transportation vehicles, and LED lighting fixtures. The standardization pacts will help pave the way for Taiwan`s manufacturers to enter the vast mainland market, according to Taiwan`s industry watchers.Taiwan-based Formosa Epitaxy and its affiliate, Jiangsu Canyang Corporation has ordered Veeco's recently released TurboDisc MaxBright multi-reactor MOCVD System for production of HB LEDs.Everlight has shown its various LED products at the Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition and has prepared to present Taipei World Trade Center Nangang Exhibition Hall, Area M, booth number 812 and Area L, booth number 622.The company presents a new Chip-on-Board (COB) LED series to offer a solution that addresses important issues in general lighting replacement applications.
