Applied Quantum Bright focused on solving the most difficult problem of high power LED luminaries which is the heat dissipation of the high power led high bay light. Based on the fundamental thermodynamic theory of the thermal conduction, the IR radiation and the heat convection, and through the innovative package design, the unique heat sink construction and the application of Infrared radiation coating material, problem of the heat dissipation was solved successfully. Furthermore, its design meets Taiwan’s national standard (CNS 15233) requirement of 75 lm/w for top level LED street lamps.
Owing to this alliance, Linktec obtains the backup of Applied Quantum Bright’s LED multi-chip core technology. Since its multi-chip LED array adopted a unique design of channeling the light, heat, and electric current separately and utilized the characteristics of the mechanical construction and material to highly increase its light extraction efficacy. After repeated testing, the products have been proved to have excellent luminous efficacy and heat dissipation efficiency. AQBT keeps the Tj within safety allowance and consequently increases the lifespan of the LED light source. The technology and mass production skills can be applied to various kinds of chip modules, including vertical electrode chips like LED Linear high bay light and SemiLEDs, lateral electrode chips from Osram, Samsung, and other local-made chips as well. This advantage allows Linktec to offer diversified solutions meeting different customers’ requests and expectations.
The partnership and cooperation allows Linktec to gain support in manufacturing and selling high power street lamps, as well as the technical backup from Applied Quantum Bright Technologies, including heat dissipation (Nano painting for speeding heat dissipation, high heat convection thin fin heat sink structure), optics (Bat wing secondary optical lens modules), and power management (power factor and AC/DC power conversion over 90% conversion efficiency). Moreover, the modularized lighting fixture will be easier in mass production and reducing the cost, and it can be conveniently retrofitted in various traditional street lamp fixtures. Thus, the original lighting fixture can be effectively re-used, which is in line with the environmental-friendly demand and resource-recycling.
