The new LED luminaires project more than 50 lumens per watt consumed, a relatively high light output considering the low amount of input energy. They contain the newest high-brightness led high bay light and employ Sunovia's patent-pending Aimed Optics(TM) technology to focus maximum light on the ground, virtually eliminating glare, wasted light and light pollution. Specialized cool color rendition allows for considerable visibility, and Camp Lejeune representatives noted that they are able to see colors of objects clearly in the LED light, which was much more difficult in the orange glow of the old metal halide fixtures.
According to CEE, the Position Paper provides manufacturers with the fundamentals on voluntary energy efficiency programs, including information about how they work and what types of incentives they typically use to promote efficient products and services. It also outlines the technical information that efficiency programs need from manufacturers in order to evaluate SSL product performance and consider it for potential inclusion in their promotional efforts. The Position Paper explains how manufacturers can partner with energy efficiency programs to promote quality, efficient SSL products, and as a result, improve sales of these products over time.
By using the approaches outlined in the Position Paper, energy efficiency programs have successfully increased sales and market penetration of traditional energy efficient lighting products, including fluorescent technologies like CFLs and T8 lamps. Program administrators look forward to working with SSL manufacturers to create the same positive outcome for that technology.
Launched on Nov. 30 at simultaneous press events in the Netherlands and South Africa, the system is available as a fully portable solution. Using the latest energy-efficient LED lighting technology, the system can illuminate areas up to 40x20m with bright white light. Advanced battery cells provide up to eight hours of floodlighting on a single solar charge – the equivalent of two or three full evening football matches or training sessions. The system is also highly sustainable, with a rugged design able to withstand the extreme rigors of life in some of the more challenging and remote terrains in the world.
