whose work includes renovations of historic Art Deco buildings, high-end homes in Palm Beach, Mexico, Paris and Morocco – was inspired by the horizontal configuration of the covered terrace and the trajectory of a massive roof drain on the ceiling. Rather than conceal these elements, he decided to honor them by hanging a LED-lit macramé wall along the drain’s trajectory to help shield the led high bay light from the wind blowing in from the terrace, while at the same time enclosing and defining the space with a stitched screen. However, Wall’s search for concealed LED lighting that could rest on top of the drain, highlighting the macramé wall from the top and bottom, proved to be a challenge…until he discovered CSL’s energy-efficient product line.

“The scale and the form of CSL’s lighting worked well to offset the cubic nature of the space,” said Wall.
