the government also provides tax benefits for those who adopt LEDs

Since 2008, the government has been supported the burgeoning industry by promoting LED lighting in the households, businesses and led linear high bay light public sector.According to the ministry, LED accounts for 14 percent of the total lighting systems at municipalities and state-run corporations nationwide, and 8 percent at the public institutions. More than 90 percent of all traffic lights carry LED bulbs currently.

In addition,to boost distribution further, the government also provides tax benefits for those who adopt LEDs to encourage replacing incandescent light bulbs with LED lamps in the private sector. It also wants to ban production and sale of incandescent light bulbs starting 2014.By the end of 2012, the replacements for both 75-watt and 100-watt GE bulbs will be available in 18 and 27-watt varieties. The bulbs are expected to last up to two decades, based on three hours of use per day.

Asides from GE , Slyvania and Philips have also introduced their versions of LED replacement bulbs, which are said to use one-tenth of the power of incandasent bulbs.Dialight’s Prism indicators feature the industry’s only led high bay light indicator series designed to survive 260°C peak reflow temperature and provide the aesthetic appeal of a diffused lens for enhanced viewing.
